SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electric aerosol generating system that includes charger (201) containing main power source (203) and extended aerosol generating device (220) containing additional power source (226). The aerosol generating device has near end (223), far end (224), and main part (225) extending between the near end and the far end. User-operated button (290) is located on the case between the near end and the far end. When the aerosol generating device interacts with the charger, at least the first side section of the main part passing between the near end and the far end of the aerosol generating device faces the charger, and at least the second side section of the main part passing between the near end and the far end of the aerosol generating device faces away from the charger and is open. The button can be positioned on the first side section of the main part so that it is shielded during interaction. The button can be located on the second side section with the possibility of deactivating or changing its functions.
EFFECT: proposed is aerosol generating with possibility of shielding, deactivating or changing the functions of the control button.
