FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to biotechnology, specifically to molecular biology. Disclosed is a recombinant virus providing stable expression of the FMDV antigen. Recombinant virus includes an expression cassette in the genome of the recombinant virus. Expression cassette includes a first polynucleotide coding at least one required polypeptide, and a second polynucleotide, which is an essential gene of the recombinant virus or its functional fragment. First polynucleotide is operably linked to a second polynucleotide, wherein the first polynucleotide is located in front of the second polynucleotide, and said second polynucleotide is a single copy of said essential gene or functional fragment thereof, which is active in the recombinant virus. Disclosed is a method for increasing stability of FMDV antigen expression within a recombinant virus, as well as a host cell containing the recombinant virus, which provides stable expression of the FMDV antigen.
EFFECT: invention enables to stably express target proteins.
