SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a charger for an aerosol-generating device. Charging device comprises a casing forming a cavity to accommodate an aerosol-generating article to be charged. Cavity has an opening. At least one electrical contact is located in the cavity. Charging device comprises a cover, which is configured to shift with rotation relative to the opening between an open position and a closed position, wherein the inner surface of the cover faces the cavity when the cover is in the closed position. At least a portion of the inner surface of the cover defines a shaped interaction element having a leading edge and a trailing edge. In the closed position, the cover maintains an electrical connection between the charger and the aerosol-generating device.
EFFECT: present invention further relates to an aerosol-generating system comprising a charging device and an aerosol-generating device, and to a method of using the aerosol-generating system.
