FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for positioning and fixing a unit of optical elements. Technical result is achieved by a device for positioning and fixing a unit of optical elements, mainly crystals. Device comprises a flat-cylindrical base with four recesses uniformly formed along its cylindrical surface and made on the entire thickness of the base, and one cylindrical protrusion formed in the centre on its lower surface. Wherein said protrusion has inner axial blind hole and outer thread. Means for fixation to the base of the unit of optical elements, including four spring-loaded clamping retainers of complex-profile shape, and four elastic elements configured to fix the retainer on the base and adjust the degree of pressing the block of optical elements to the base. Block of optical elements has the shape of a square in cross section, which is formed by a group of optical elements having the shape of rectangular parallelepipeds with four fixed plates installed on each side of the block. Retainers are installed on the upper surface of the base, evenly along the outer perimeter of its circumference between the recesses. At the same time on the side facing the block, each retainer has a projection of rectangular shape, intended for its placement in the slots of the block plates.

EFFECT: preservation of the initial geometry of the block, possibility of double-sided processing of the block of crystals and reduction of consumption of the polished material.
