SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to maxillofacial surgery, and can be used for removal of median neck cyst. It is proposed to perform a horizontal skin incision with length of 3 cm in the submental region, dissect subcutaneous fat, dissect the superficial fascia of the neck, mobilize the subcutaneous muscle of the neck to the hyoid bone, push the subcutaneous muscle of the neck bluntly, dissect subplatysmal fatty tissue and mobilize it to the hyoid bone, visualize the anterior bellies of digastric muscles up to the hyoid bone body, skeletonize the body of the hyoid bone, isolate the cyst within healthy tissues, resect the body of the hyoid bone, suture the anterior bellies of digastric muscles between each other with a continuous suture, suture the subhyoid muscles between each other with a continuous suture, suture the sternohyoid, thyrohyoid, omohyoid muscles to the mobilized anterior bellies of digastric muscles on both sides with interrupted sutures, lay the mobilized subplatysmal fatty tissue into the soft tissue defect formed after the hyoid bone resection and suture it to the anterior bellies of digastric muscles, suture the subcutaneous muscle of the neck with a continuous suture, close the subcutaneous fat with a continuous suture, close the skin with an intradermal suture.

EFFECT: when using the method, the aesthetic parameters of the anterior surface of the neck are fully replenished without changing the functional state of the supra- and subhyoid muscles.
