FIELD: medicine; laboratory diagnostics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for hair sample preparation for determination of chemical elements by laser spark emission spectrometer. Hair is bundled and placed in a heat-shrinkable tube. Further, the tube with hair is heated to a shrinkage temperature of 80–100 degrees Celsius and cut by a guillotine into thin disks with a smooth cut. Obtained sample is placed in a positioner with a sample holder to control the position of the point of action of the laser on the analyzed sample. Cut discs can be no more than 1–2 mm thick. Cut discs can be attached to the solid plate and placed in the positioner in the form of a set of samples to increase the sampling volume.
EFFECT: method enables to prepare hair samples for rapid analysis of the content of chemical elements by implementing the disclosed procedure.
