FIELD: examination of documents.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of authenticating images of documents of various types. Analysis and detection of photo re-gluing in the document is carried out by analyzing the image of page 4 of the passport obtained by irradiating page 4 of the passport with infrared radiation with a dominant wavelength of 870 nm and registered so that rectangular reference marks are visible. Analysis of the presence and integrity of said marks makes it possible to judge the presence or absence of the fact of photo re-gluing.
EFFECT: high accuracy of checking a document.
