FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is method for determining indications for open testicular biopsy in patients with non-obstructive azoospermia, including the determination of a number of biomarkers, characterized in that the value of the discriminant function is calculated from the formula f=age×0.003+lh×0.119-fsh×0.020+tf×0.002+shbg×0.058+prl×0.004-3.479, where f is the value of discriminant function; age – age (years); lh – level of LH in blood plasma (ME/L); fsh – level of follicle-stimulating hormone in the blood plasma (ME/L); tf – level of free fraction of testosterone in blood plasma (pmol/l); shbg – level of sex-steroid binding globulin in blood plasma (nmol/l); prl – level of prolactin in blood plasma (mIU/l). At f<-0,045 presence of indications for open testicular biopsy is determined, and at f>-0,045 there is no indication.
EFFECT: invention provides increase in accuracy of determining the indications for an open biopsy.
