FLEXIBLE BRANCH PIPE FROM POLYMER COMPOSITE MATERIALS AND METHOD OF ITS MANUFACTURING BASED ON UNVULCANIZED RUBBERIZED GLASS FABRIC Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC F16L11/08

Abstract RU 2817033 C1

FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to multilayer reinforced composite pipes and method of their manufacturing. Branch pipes are intended for transportation of gaseous substances in air distribution systems of aerospace equipment. Branch pipe consists of spiral main part including inner and outer shells from uncured rubberized glass fabric, stiffness spiral and two collars. Stiffness spiral is made of precision round wire distributed around inner shell in the form of a spring. Spiral is reinforced along the outer shell with fire-resistant silica threads impregnated with a solution of a rubber mixture in acetone, cured at a temperature of +75 to +135 °C. Threads provide tension and press the spring along the upper and lower boundaries of the turn along the outer shell of the branch pipe. Collars are made by contact molding in place from uncured rubberized glass fabric and a rubber mixture, or from a rubber mixture. Collars are intended for connection of the branch pipe in the working position on the object. Proposed method of manufacturing increases the quality of the branch pipe, its strength, flexibility, tightness, resistance to prolonged action of aggressive media.

EFFECT: improvement of operational characteristics especially at operation of branch pipes at low temperatures, maintainability, simplicity of installation and operation.
