FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to abdominal surgery, gastroenterology. After coagulation of the bleeding polyp, powdered haemostatic Algistab is applied by insufflator on the necrosis zone from distance of 1.5 cm from the wound. Amount of Algistab is calculated by the formula: m=0.6xD, where m is the amount of the preparation in grams, D is the diameter of the postcoagulation defect in centimetres.
EFFECT: method creates conditions for a favourable course of the reparative process in the area of the wound defect, improves quality of defect healing after polypectomy, protects wound defect from aggressive action of gastric and intestinal contents, increases efficiency of local haemostasis, prevents recurrent haemorrhages, relieves pain syndrome, eliminates formation of rough cicatrical tissue.
