SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to industrial synthesis of ammonia, specifically to a method of producing ammonia, an ammonia synthesis loop and a method for controlling it. Ammonia synthesis method is characterized by that in head section (1) make-up synthesis gas (2) is generated for ammonia production, pressure of this make-up gas is increased in first compressor (3) and make-up high-pressure synthesis gas (4) obtained in the first compressor is supplied to the ammonia synthesis circuit (5). Circuit includes at least converter (7) performing catalytic synthesis of ammonia, circulation apparatus (6), which is a compressor, made with possibility of maintaining circulation in the circuit and supplying to the converter of the feed gas, including the make-up synthesis gas, feed line (10) of the converter from the circulation apparatus to the converter, condensation section (8) installed at the outlet of the synthesis section for receiving ammonia-containing gas product, separation section (9), in which the condensate obtained in the condensation section is separated into an ammonia liquid product and a gas recirculated flow and recirculation line (14) from the separation section to the suction inlet of the circulation apparatus. At that, full load mode of ammonia synthesis circuit (5) corresponds to treatment of nominal flow rate of make-up gas (2) transmitted from head section (1) to synthesis circuit, and during method implementation, circuit (5) is controlled in partial load mode, characterized by reduced consumption of make-up gas transmitted to circuit from head section, compared to nominal flow rate, by separating gas flow (15) from the converter feed line (10) at the point before converter (7) to form a bypass flow. This bypass flow is repeatedly introduced from suction side (24) of circulation device (6) or into the ammonia synthesis circuit (5) at the point at the outlet of separation section (9).

EFFECT: improvement of the ammonia synthesis circuit and the corresponding control method, adapted for operation with hydrogen obtained from a renewable energy source and operation in a wide range of operating loads.
