SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a carrier of biologically active compounds, involving synthesis of a ternary copolymer based on methacrylic acid, such as a terpolymer of N,N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA) with methyl methacrylate (MMA) and butyl methacrylate (BuMA) in molar ratio of 2:1:1, having MM 150 kDa, characterized in that modification of said terpolymer is carried out using 4-bromophenylboronic acid with constant stirring and temperature of 50 °C, then the obtained solution is left for 24 hours with constant mixing, followed by dialysis purification, filtration and freeze drying to form the finished product.
EFFECT: present invention provides drug retention on mucous membranes due to mucoadhesive properties of modified polymer and increased time of drug absorption, as a result, the frequency of application of the drug is reduced, the bioavailability of the drug is increased, and the effectiveness of the therapy is increased.
