SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment of residential apartment buildings and industrial premises, in particular, to intercom systems of wide application and methods of alerting tenants using such systems. For this, an intercom system is used, consisting of calling panel 1 having a key reading module 10, keyboard 9, and receiving panels 7 equipped with a digital-to-analogue converter and a controller and connected to calling panel 1, to send a common call signal to receiving panels 7, a key is brought to the key reading module or a code is entered on keyboard 9, a signal is recorded using a digital-to-analogue converter of receiving panel 7, the signal duration is calculated using the controller, then, a melody is started with the help of the controller, which testifies to the fact that a general call signal has been sent.
EFFECT: provision of possibility of simultaneous notification and informing of tenants of all flats of apartment building in case of emergency.
