Method for countering malefactor attacks aimed at listening to paging messages transmitted to subscriber devices of a wireless communication network, is characterized by the fact that when a paging message arrives at the base station from the MME control unit for transmission to the subscriber device, the base station buffers the message for subsequent sending of the paging message to the paging cycle, the number of which is a multiple of N, where N is an integer natural number, wherein N≥2, wherein the base station determines the number N using a number generator.
