FIELD: hydraulic engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for water flow damping in end devices of closed pipelines and tunnel culverts. In the device in the cavity of the well of the damping chamber in its middle part there is a vertical branch pipe with a flow swirler, made in the form of a "hyperboloid of rotation" directed towards the reflecting spherical screen, rigidly fixed to each other with the annular reflector of the screen above the water flow swirler, wherein the shape of the lower reflecting screen is made with a spherical surface in the direction towards the said water flow swirler, wherein the latter has a diameter equal to 0.3–0.6 of the maximum diameter fixed to the plane of the surface of the sphere, water flow swirler is made along Archimedes spiral for formation of swirled mixing of water, washing under pressure of lower part of spherical surface, wherein the reflecting spherical screen is connected to a mechanism for changing the gap above the surface of the water flow swirler attached to the vertical branch pipe.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of water dispersion discharge towards spherical screen's reflector inner plane, connected to horizontal screen's reflector, simplified design, lower bottom flow velocities.
