FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering and can be used to damp water flow energy after pressure water conduits in a stilling well. Water flow energy damper includes a water conduit, a stilling well, a damping chamber, wherein said damping chamber is provided with discharge branch pipe, at the point where the flow exits from the stilling well, the hole of the latter is blocked by a vertical wall and connected to an additional damping chamber with a threshold. Damping chamber is divided in height into separate multi-tier cascades by annular inclined partitions with holes in the form of a mesh cloth with an inclination downwards, which are rigidly attached to the side walls of the damping chamber, multi-tier cascades are interconnected in series by pipelines arranged alternately on opposite sides of the damping chamber housing, for which in the side walls of the damping chamber housing there are through holes corresponding to the shape of the cross section in the pipelines, the damping chamber is equipped with a fixed cone-shaped element made with its vertex towards the outlet hole of the water conduit branch pipe, wherein upper water-permeable partition is horizontal and has water-permeable dome-shaped grating arranged below fixed cone-shaped element base.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of operation along the path of non-stationary fluid flow due to local collisions and reduced bottom velocities in the flow.
