SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aerosol-generating article. Article contains an aerosol-generating substrate containing nicotine and at least 10% of an aerosol-forming substance containing glycerine and a first layer of paper arranged around the aerosol-generating substrate. First layer of paper has a first thickness/grammage of 1.2 micrometers/g/m2 or less. Article also comprises a second layer of paper arranged around the first layer of paper, wherein the second layer of paper has a second thickness/grammage. First value of thickness/grammage is less than the second value of thickness/grammage.
EFFECT: invention enables to provide a visually and mechanically stable wrapped substrate, to provide an aerosol-generating article comprising a wrapper which does not swell when absorbing water or compounds contained in the aerosol-generating substrate, wherein the wrapper is not easily burnt when located near the heating element, provides a fat barrier for fatty compounds contained in an aerosol-generating substrate and does not affect the taste of the aerosol generated by the aerosol-generating article.
