FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics. When examining a patient with complaints of knee joint instability caused by injury or disease, walking is analysed with recording of goniograms synchronized with walking phases, and when goniograms appear in the patients with chronic injuries of the knee joint of the pathological W-type, manifested by two additional teeth up to 4% and in 14-22% of the step cycle in the period of support, sagittal kinematic instability of the knee joint is diagnosed. Method enables to objectify functional disorders accompanying chronic injuries of the knee joint, including in the course of treatment, and to optimize the mechanism of knee joint function recovery for a specific patient. In the examples of the disclosed method implementation, samples of the protocols of the patients with chronic knee joint injuries and sagittal kinematic instability are presented.

EFFECT: aim of the present invention is to increase the accuracy of detecting functional disorders of the knee joint in terms of developing sagittal kinematic instability.
