FIELD: ice engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to create an ice crossing. Stiffness ribs are formed under the ice, which are formed along the entire length of the crossing on its both sides and at a distance from its axis equal to half of its width, using horizontal and connected to them vertical sections of air ducts from heat-conducting material in the form of pipes under the ice. Each of the air ducts is made in the form of a long section, the length of which is equal to the length of the crossing, and vertical sections connected to it, the distance between which does not exceed λst/2, where λst is the wavelength of static deflection of the ice cover from the action of the static transverse load. Free ends of vertical sections are arranged above ice cover surface. This provides penetration under the ice cover of atmospheric air with temperature below 0 °C due to its convection, which leads to icing of air ducts, i.e. to formation of stiffeners.

EFFECT: increased carrying capacity of ice crossing.
