SUBSTANCE: disclosed are an aqueous composition for cryopreservation of microalgae Thraustochytriaceae, containing from the total weight of the composition, wt.%: defatted milk from 0.5 to 20; sucrose - from 1 to 20; sodium chloride - from 0.1 to 10 at the following weight ratios: skim milk and sucrose - from 1:0.5 to 1:10; skim milk and sodium chloride - from 1:0.5 to 1:10; method for cryopreservation of microalgae Thraustochytriaceae, involving cultivation of microalgae Thraustochytriaceae in a medium containing an aqueous composition for cryopreservation of microalgae Thraustochytriaceae, isolation of the cultured product and lyophilisation thereof to obtain biomass; lyophilised biomass of microalgae Thraustochytriaceae containing an aqueous composition for cryopreservation of Thraustochytriaceae, skimmed milk, sucrose, sodium chloride and microalgae Thraustochytriaceae, and method for production thereof.

EFFECT: inventions provide stability of samples of lyophilized biomass of microalgae Thraustochytriaceae with preservation of the number of viable cells in the specified amount during long-term storage for at least 12 weeks.
