FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to nutritional compositions. Disclosed is an aqueous composition which is a milk enrichment for babies, containing at least one breast milk oligosaccharide with a glucose link at the reducing end and having a pH in range of 5.5 to 6.5. Aqueous composition contains at least one breast milk oligosaccharide with a glucose link at the reducing end in a concentration ranging from 5% to 50% by weight of the composition. Infants are infants born by caesarean section, premature, small for their gestational age and/or having low or very low birth weight. Also disclosed is use of said aqueous composition as a milk enrichment for babies and method for preventing isomerisation in aqueous compositions during thermal treatment of breast milk oligosaccharides with a glucose unit at the reducing end.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining isomerisation-stable and storage-stable aqueous compositions for use as a breast milk enrichment agent.
