SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess the effectiveness of botulinum toxin A treatment of postoperative clinically active scars using shear wave elastography. Shear wave elastography is performed, including obtaining and analyzing Young's modulus Emean, quantitative assessments of pain intensity by VAS, functional spinal asymmetry and POSAS scar assessment by a dermatologist and by the patient, obtained before the beginning of treatment and three weeks after the treatment. Treatment is assessed as effective with values of Young's modulus Emean less than 30 kPa, quantitative assessment of pain intensity by VAS equal to 0, reduction of functional asymmetry of spine and POSAS scar assessment by dermatologist equal to less than 20 points and patient himself—less than 10 points.

EFFECT: method enables evaluating the clinical effectiveness of postoperative clinically active scars by evaluating a combination of the most significant parameters.
