FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to orthopaedics and traumatology, and can be used for effectiveness assessment of conservative treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome. On 7th day after beginning of treatment ultrasound survey is carried out in mode of elastography of shear waves to determine Young's modulus Emean of median nerve and perineural structures. If this value is lower than 200 kPa, treatment is considered to be effective. If Young's modulus Emean is above 200 kPa, treatment is considered to be ineffective.
EFFECT: method enables objective efficiency assessment of conservative treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome due to possibility of obtaining absolute digital values of nerve tissue elasticity.
