FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to low-background experiments to search for rare events. Hybrid low-background detector based on noble gases consists of cryogenic chamber with vacuum insulation filled with noble gas, in which there are at least one assembly of photodetectors, a cathode and an anode, located in the lower and upper parts of the chamber, respectively, wherein gas electron multiplier is added between anode and cathode while noble gas in cryogenic chamber is in single-phase liquid state.
EFFECT: high efficiency of detecting rare weakly ionizing processes, particularly elastic coherent scattering of neutrinos on nuclei, high stability of the detector.
