SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology and is a method for accelerating tandem selection in dairy cattle breeding, involving the use of sperm products of stud bulls, evaluation of milk production of daughters-cows and their mothers, calculation of Pearson correlation coefficients and Spearman rank correlation, Delta index (ID), as well as genetic correlation in pairs "mother-daughter" where, according to the obtained Delta index (ID) by signs of milk productivity of daughters of stud bulls are divided into three groups: 1st group – highest rank with index from 1 and higher; 2nd group – medium rank with index from 0 to 1; 3rd group – low rank with index below 0.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to determine ranks of bulls-producers based on their accelerated assessment of breeding value within breeds, lines, families, as well as between separate animals, which makes it possible to predict the potential of milk production of daughters of stud bulls and to identify the best breeding bulls for further targeted selection to improve the complex of features.
