FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to pathological anatomy, cardiology and haematology, and can be used to predict acute vascular events in patients with Ph-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms. MMP9 expression is assessed in cells and extracellular matrix of bone marrow. An average stained area is calculated in 5 areas with a total area of 1,000 mcm2, excluding subcortical tissues and artifically crumpled marrow spaces. If the expression value is equal to or more than the threshold parameter of 692.6 mcm2, a high probability of developing acute vascular events in the patients with Ph-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides effective prediction of development of acute vascular events in patients with Ph-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms due to evaluation of MMP9 expression in cells and extracellular matrix of bone marrow.
