FIELD: fire-fighting equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-fighting equipment, in particular to hand-held devices generating a gas-aerosol mixture of combustion inhibitors, intended for primary suppression of fire centres with a directed flow of extinguishing mixture. Portable fire extinguishing device comprises a tubular body-handle with a cover, a cartridge from a pyrotechnic composition of a fire-extinguishing aerosol, a grating primer-igniter with a grater. Perforated and guide shells are coaxially connected by means of contact welding. Metal mesh covers the perforation windows of the perforated shell. Space between the perforated shell and the guide shell is filled with a granular coolant in the form of tablets of an easily gasified substance. Grating primer-igniter is installed in the channel of the tube fixed with interference on the guide shell and providing the distance from the grating primer-igniter to the cartridge of pyrotechnic composition of the fire-extinguishing aerosol not more than ¼ along the length of the free volume of the device. Cover of the body-handle is made of polymer material and is connected by means of a capron thread with a grating primer-igniter.
EFFECT: increased reliability of ignition of pyrotechnic composition and reduced time of device activation.
