FIELD: control systems.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a system for monitoring operating conditions of a grinding mill and a method for monitoring using said system. Grinding mill sensor system 100 comprises a plurality of shell sensor units 110, connected to inner part 121 of grinding mill 120, for example, inner part 121 of the grinding chamber of the grinding mill. Each of the plurality of shell sensor units 110 can transmit information from inner part 121 of grinding mill 120 to receiver 130. Information transmitted by the plurality of shell sensor units 110 may include information associated with the mill loading in inner part 121 of grinding mill 120, and/or information associated with grinding mill process conditions. Shell sensor units can be connected to the inner part of the grinding chamber of the grinding mill and/or to the outer part of the grinding chamber of the grinding mill. Method comprises receiving measured data from a plurality of shell sensor units, after which a two-dimensional map of the process and/or a three-dimensional map of the process is formed based on the measured data.
EFFECT: invention discloses a device, systems and methods for detecting and simulating mill loading behavior.
