FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to extraction and processing of minerals. Unit 1 prepares a luminophore-containing composition based on an inorganic luminophore and an organic fraction. In unit 2 emulsion of luminophore-containing composition is prepared. Initial diamond-containing material is treated with the prepared emulsion in unit 5 made in the form of a rotating horizontal inclined cylinder with two perforated sections separated from each other: for removal of excess emulsion 7 and for removal of flushing water 9, with ratio of solid : liquid from 1:1 to 1:2.5 and at temperature of 35–45 °C. Device 3 is used to heat emulsion. Excess emulsion from perforated section 7 is removed to unit 8 and returned to unit 2. After removal of excess emulsion, diamond-containing material is flushed with water by means of device 10 at temperature of 14–24 °C. Rinse water is collected in receiver 11. Treated and washed diamond-containing material is fed into X-ray luminescent separator 12, where it is separated into concentrate and tails using amplitude-kinetic separation method.
EFFECT: invention increases extraction of diamonds, improves quality of diamond-containing concentrate, and also to reduce consumption of luminophore-containing composition due to creation of conditions for stable and selective fixation of luminophore-containing composition on surface of diamonds.
