The essence of the invention lies in the fact that the reagent-modifier of the spectral characteristics of diamonds in the processes of X-ray luminescent separation includes an emulsion of the composition of an inorganic phosphor and an organic collector in an aqueous phase containing reagents-regulators, wherein the used collector is a mixture of light highly viscous oil with a high mass fraction of microcrystalline paraffin from the range of petrolatum, ceresin with petroleum oil fractions, as well as with oil-water-soluble organic liquids of the following series: methyl ethyl ketone, diethyl ketone, cyclohexanone, glycerin.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of increasing the strength of fixing the phosphor-containing composition on the surface of diamonds.
