SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to a cartridge with antibacterial properties for a medical mask and a method for making same. Cartridge contains an insert into a medical mask made of two layered porous nonwoven material of porous perchlorovinyl and cellulose acetate fibres, inside which there is a powder with grinding of 1–5 mm of dry stems, leaves and flowers of Artemisia Taurica of Artemisia family. Cartridge is configured to be placed in the three-layer medical mask, after the first layer for the incoming air flow. Thickness of the cartridge with powder with grinding of 1–5 mm of dry stems, leaves and flowers of Artemisia Taurica of Artemisia family is 3 mm. Method includes preparation of dry stems, leaves and flowers of Artemisia Taurica of Artemisia family during budding period, preparation of powder with grinding of 1–5 mm of dry stems, leaves and flowers of Artemisia Taurica of Artemisia family, from which an insert is made into a medical mask, from two layered porous nonwoven material of porous perchlorovinyl and cellulose acetate fibres, inside of which powder is placed with grinding of 1–5 mm of dry stems, leaves and flowers of Artemisia Taurica of Artemisia family. Further, the cartridge is placed in the three-layer medical mask, after the first layer for the incoming air flow; thickness of the cartridge with powder with grinding of 1–5 mm of dry stems, leaves and flowers of Artemisia Taurica of Artemisia family is 3 mm.

EFFECT: improved antibacterial properties of the medical mask, having hygienic characteristics of long-term use.
