METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF POST-LOAD BRONCHOSPASM SYNDROME FORMATION IN PATIENTS WITH MILD BRONCHIAL ASTHMA Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2820016 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in pulmonology. Method for prediction of post-exercise bronchospasm syndrome formation in patients with mild bronchial asthma consists in the fact that before the bronchial challenge test with graduated physical activity (DPA), the content of C-reactive protein (CRP), mg/l, is determined in the venous blood serum, and spirography is used to measure initial forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV1 ref), l. After the DPN, the maximum change in the forced expiratory volume in the first second, %, of the initial one (ΔFEV1 max) is determined using spirography, by comparing relative changes of FEV1 after the test at the first minute (ΔFEV1 1 min) and at the tenth minute (ΔFEV1 10 min) as follows: if ΔFEV1 1 and ΔFEV1 10 have negative values, but higher than −10%, selecting ΔFEV1, as much as possible different from initial FEV1, and take it as ΔFEV1 max; if ΔFEV1 1 and ΔFEV1 10 have positive values, selecting ΔFEV1 with the least difference from FEV1 ref and taking it as ΔFEV1 max; if one of indicators ΔFEV1 1 min and ΔFEV1 10 min has a positive value, and the other is negative for ΔFEV1 max, the value is taken with negative value, provided that it is higher than −10%. Further, a discriminant equation is used to predict the formation of post-load bronchospasm syndrome: D=+2.107×ΔFEV1 max−1.627×CRP, where D is a discriminant function, the boundary value of which is equal to −22.90. If D is less than the limit value of the discriminant function, post-load bronchospasm syndrome is predicted in the patients with mild bronchial asthma.

EFFECT: invention enables predicting post-load bronchospasm syndrome in the patients with mild bronchial asthma.
