FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to clinical and laboratory diagnostics, intensive care. Patient’s age, degree of pulmonary tissue involvement according to chest computed tomography, ROX index and thrombocyte count are determined. Original formula is used to determine the risk of fatal outcome (R). If R is more than 0.5, a high risk of lethal outcome is predicted. If R is less than 0.5, a low risk of lethal outcome is predicted.
EFFECT: method enables to predict the risk of fatal outcome using routine history data, laboratory and instrumental diagnostics values, which in turn makes it possible to examine patients with different severity of COVID-19 infection.
