FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used for contactless determination of the angle of rotation and angular position of the shaft, speed and direction of rotation. In the turn angle sensor, the magnetic system is made in the form of a disk with two permanent magnets mounted in it, one is of rectangular shape with axial magnetisation, located in the centre of the disk, the other one is arc-shaped with radial magnetisation. Reading device consists of four magnetoresistive sensing elements (MRSE), two of which are located in the centre of the reading device, have a common centre and are turned at angle of 45° relative to each other, and the third and fourth are located in a circle relative to the centre with a radius equal to the radius of the arc-shaped magnet, wherein the arms of the third MRSE are spaced apart symmetrically relative to the centre by a distance of the diameter of the arc-shaped magnet, and the lines connecting the first pair of arms of the third MRSE, the centres of the first and fourth MRSE form one isosceles right triangle, and the lines connecting the second pair of arms of the third MRSE, centres of the first and fourth MRSE form the second isosceles right triangle.

EFFECT: increased bit capacity and reduced error of the sensor, high noise immunity, improved manufacturability and speed of operation, simplified design of the sensor and signal processing circuit.
