SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and uses of compositions for treating, reducing the incidence or severity of metabolic syndrome, age-related decrease in metabolic regulation and muscle atrophy, for delaying the onset of harmful effects of aging and osteoporosis in healthy older adults. Composition contains an effective amount of a combination of at least one glycine, at least one N-acetylcysteine and at least one nicotinamide riboside. Composition can be administered orally, for example, in the form of one or more of a food product, a food product for special medical purposes (FSMP), a food additive, a ready-to-eat mixture, a milk beverage, liquid additive of small volume, powder forms for dilution with liquid or food substitute beverage.
EFFECT: invention allows treating or preventing oxidative stress and conditions associated with oxidative stress.
