FIELD: smoking accessories; various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and a device for making a corrugated web from a polymer material for an aerosol-generating article, as well as to a reel containing said corrugated web. Method includes steps: polymer material granules are heated to form a polymer material melt, a polymer material web is formed from a polymer material melt and the web of polymer material is treated at high temperature to form a corrugated web of polymer material and the corrugated web of polymer material is wound on a reel. Device comprises: a container for heating granules of polymer material to form a melt of polymer material, roller, or extruder for processing of polymer material melt with formation of corrugated web from polymer material and winding device for winding of corrugated web from polymer material on reel.
EFFECT: obtaining a web from polymer material, which has properties of softness and plasticity, corrugation, and will tend to retain shape after cooling of the web from polymer material to ambient temperature.
