SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of making web with folds for an aerosol-generating article, the method comprising steps of feeding a substantially continuous web on a set of folding rollers, wherein the set of rollers comprises a first roller and a second roller, each of which is corrugated at least a portion of its width; wherein the first and second rollers are arranged such that corrugations of first roller substantially alternate with corrugations of second roller; and creasing the substantially continuous web to form a web with folds by feeding a substantially continuous web between the first and second rollers in the longitudinal direction of the web such that corrugations of the first and second rollers are applied on a substantially continuous web of multiple extending longitudinally and substantially parallel folded corrugations; wherein the corrugation step size of one or both of the first and second rollers varies over the width of the rollers so that the step size of the folded corrugations changes along the width of the web with folds, wherein step length of substantially all corrugations of first and second rollers varies from approximately 0.5 mm to approximately 1.7 mm.

EFFECT: technical result consists in ensuring more uniform distribution of corrugated material in article.
