FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in reconditioning and hardening of parts by contact welding. Easily plastically deformable structural element in the form of a helical profile of a sinusoidal section is made on the surface of the part from carbon steel. Filler strip is made from alloyed heat-resistant steel with dimensions corresponding to dimensions of the reconditioned surface of the part. Filler strip is pressed to the reconditioned surface and rolled by a roller-electrode along the ridges of a sinusoidal profile at supply of welding current pulses. Profile sinusoid pitch is equal to 1.15–1.25 of width of working surface of roller-electrode, amplitude – half of pitch. Welding mode is selected based on the condition of plastic deformation of the relief until its complete smoothing.
EFFECT: method provides increased strength of welding of filler strips made of alloy and heat-resistant steels onto a base of structural steels.
