FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction of buildings and structures, including elevated pipelines for various purposes, located on territories characterized by seasonal freezing, and thawing of unfrozen and permafrost bases, including those sensitive to changes in temperature conditions of soil massif, including swelling or subsidence. Heat-insulating pile foundation includes a grillage in contact with the ground, and piles. Grillage includes a layer of thermal insulation at the grillage-soil boundary, the thermal conductivity of the material of which is lower than the thermal conductivity of the surrounding soil mass. Piles are made of a material with lower thermal conductivity than that of the surrounding soil mass.
EFFECT: improved reliability of the foundation due to exclusion of thermal effect on the soils of the base of the foundation from any sources of heat and cold, both from the building or structure located on the foundation, and from the environment thereof, including from solar radiation.
