SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organoelement chemistry, specifically to a method of producing 1-(3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole, which is an important organosilicon compound used, for example, for synthesis of immobilized ionic liquids, having catalytic properties in practically significant reactions of carbon dioxide processing, for obtaining corrosion inhibitors, films on metal surface. Method involves alkylation of (3-halopropyl)trimethoxysilane of a sodium salt of 1,2,4-triazole. Sodium salt of 1,2,4-triazole is obtained from equimolar amounts of 1,2,4-triazole and sodium hydroxide by heating with water separation in a toluene medium. Alkylation is carried out with (3-chloropropyl)trimethoxysilane while boiling the reaction mass for 3 hours, distilling, before introducing it into the reaction mass, half of the initially taken toluene and adding an equal amount of dimethylformamide.

EFFECT: wider range of methods for producing 1-(3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole using readily available starting reagents and a solvent providing high output of the end product.
