FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image processing. Method comprises obtaining a bitstream for a current image, obtaining a first indicator value for the current image in accordance with the bitstream indicating the type of slice, obtaining a second indicator value for the current image in accordance with the bitstream, indicating whether the weighted prediction parameter is present in the image header or the slice header of the bitstream, parsing the value of the weighted prediction parameter for the current block of the current slice of the current image from the bitstream, when the value of the first indicator is equal to the first preset value and the value of the second indicator is equal to the second preset value, wherein the first preset value is an integer value and the second preset value is an integer value and prediction of the current block in accordance with the value of the weighted prediction parameter.
EFFECT: enabling encoding of a video sequence with weighted prediction parameters, which are combined from attenuation weighting parameters and mixing weighting parameters.
