SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image processing. Result is achieved by the fact that by generating a plurality of syntax elements related to an adaptive loop filter (ALF), image header records for the CCALF are introduced, which determine common CCALF data, and all slices can then inherit this common information. Said plurality of syntax elements related to ALF comprises a first syntax element which indicates whether an adaptive ALF loop filter is enabled at the sequence level, and first syntax element is signalled at sequence parameter set (SPS) level, and a second syntax element which indicates whether an inter-component adaptive loop filter is enabled at the sequence level, and the second syntax element is signalled at the SPS level.
EFFECT: improved inter-component adaptive contour filtering and syntax elements for cross-component adaptive loop filter (CCALF).
