FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to use of sea water in processing minerals and relates to reagents intended for clarification of clay suspensions. Sea water, sea water concentrate or salt from sea water evaporation can be used for separation of suspended substances from saponite clay suspension.
EFFECT: enabling expansion of areas of use of sea water, its concentrate and salts from its evaporation; in addition, the saponite suspension is clarified without the use of synthetic reagents and transparent supernatants which can be reused for production purposes are obtained.
