SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to resuscitation and intensive care. Multizone decontamination is performed by removing the pathogenic secretion from the supra-cuff space, oral cavity and nasal passages. Luer syringe containing a solution of octenidine dihydrochloride or a polyvalent bacteriophage is attached to the port of a canal built into the endotracheal tube. Method includes slow introduction of 5 ml of solution of octenidine dihydrochloride or polyvalent bacteriophage into supra-cuff space. A Luer syringe is introduced into the nasal passages in dose of 1 ml and an oral cavity in amount of 5 ml. Solution of octenidine dihydrochloride or polyvalent bacteriophage in amount of 5 ml is introduced into the supra-cuff space through the canal for sanitation of the supra-cuff space of the endotracheal tube.

EFFECT: method enables to effectively and safely reduce the rate of developing ventilator-associated pneumonia.
