FIELD: physical and chemical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to physical and chemical processes for obtaining thermal energy, hydrogen and oxygen during electrolysis of water. Flow-through device for producing thermal energy, hydrogen and oxygen comprises a cylindrical dielectric housing, electrodes, one of which is a cylindrical hollow anode, which performs the function of an outlet branch pipe for an aqueous alkali solution, and the other is a hollow cathode with axial movement, which performs the function of an inlet branch pipe for an aqueous solution of alkali, and an interelectrode chamber. Areas of contact of anode and cathode with aqueous solution of alkali are made in ratio of 1:2 respectively. Anode is made of stainless steel, and the cathode is made of brass. Electrodes for adjusting the distance between them are equipped with dielectric holders located on the outer parts of the electrodes protruding from the housing, which has outlet branch pipes for hydrogen and oxygen, installed in places of their accumulation.
EFFECT: higher thermal power output of hydrogen generator.
