FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of dry electrolytic polishing of the surface of parts made from aluminum and its alloys and can be used for treatment of surfaces of parts of turbomachines to improve their operational characteristics. Proposed method comprises immersing part into conducting medium of ion exchangers granules impregnated with electrolyte solution. Electrolyte for impregnating the ion exchangers granules is an aqueous solution of alkali NaOH or KOH or a mixture thereof at pH 11–14. Ion-exchange resins obtained on the basis of copolymerisation of either polystyrene or polyacrylate and divinylbenzene are used as material of ion exchangers granules. Sizes of ion exchangers granules are selected from range of 0.1 mm to 1.5 mm. Ion exchangers granules are additionally set in vibration. Electric polishing is carried out either by supplying positive electric potential to the part and negative electric potential from 12 to 35 V to the ion exchangers granules, or in pulse mode with polarity change at pulse frequency range from 20 to 100 Hz, pulse period from 50 to 10 mcs, with rectangular shape of output current pulses and duration of pauses between pulses from 49.6 to 9.2 mcs. Amplitude of current of positive polarity during pulse +50 A and their duration is from 0.4 to 0.8 mcs. Amplitude of current of negative polarity during pulse is −20 A and their duration is from 0.2 to 0.4 mcs.
EFFECT: improving the quality and reliability of surface treatment of a metal part by increasing the uniformity of its surface treatment and reducing the likelihood of defects.
