FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of operating gas distribution station (GDS) with turboexpander power plant, heater with intermediate heat carrier relates to gas industry, namely, to methods of heating natural gas of high pressure at gas distribution stations of main gas lines. Generated electric power is passed through frequency converter and most of electric power is supplied through step-up transformer to external electric network, smaller part is supplied through voltage regulator and rectifier to heating elements of electric heater with intermediate heat carrier, in housing of which intermediate heat carrier is heated to temperature of 100–120°C, which is fed into the housing of the heat exchange surface of the gas heater with an intermediate heat carrier, where the high-pressure gas is heated to temperature of 80–100°C, burner of gas heater with intermediate heat carrier is switched off, and then it is expanded in turboexpander driving electric generator. During the turboexpander and electric generator maintenance, the gas is heated by the fuel gas supply to the gas heater burner with intermediate heat carrier with the combustion products heat, intermediate heat carrier is heated to temperature of 80–100°C, then, high-pressure gas is expanded in gas reducer and fed into medium-pressure gas line.
EFFECT: improving operating efficiency of gas-distributing stations with an expander-generator unit.
