SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to molecular biology. Described is a method for determining the presence or absence of a first and a second target in a sample, involving: preparing a reaction mixture by contacting a sample, presumably containing a first and a second target, with oligonucleotides and an enzyme; treatment of mixture; measuring the background signal provided by the first and second detection fragments in the mixture or in the reference mixture; determination of generation of the first and second signals in certain conditions. Compositions for implementing the method are also described.
