SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and veterinary science and provides compositions and methods for increasing fat oxidation, energy consumption or satiety in an animal, comprising administering a non-ketogenic composition to the animal, wherein the non-ketogenic composition contains from 40 en. % to 60 en. % proteins, from 10 en. % to 25 en. %carbohydrates and from 20 en. %to 40 en. % fats. Besides, the ratio of proteins and carbohydrates in the composition ranges from 2:1 to 3:1.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to provide benefit for an animal with a high degree of effectiveness.
