SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for simulating chronic calorie restriction and a method for feeding an animal for providing a healthy effect in an animal. Methods include feeding an animal with nutrition with a supportive calorie, containing calories that satisfy animal needs for energy for life support for a supportive calorie period, or feeding an animal with nutrition without limiting calorie consumption for ad libitum feeding period, as well as feeding an animal with nutrition with reduced calorie, containing from 40% to 60% of calories contained in a food ration with supportive calorie for a reduced calorie period or satisfying daily animal need for energy for life support for a reduced calorie period. The supportive calorie period or ad libitum period and the reduced calorie period are in a ratio of 4:3.

EFFECT: use of the group of inventions will allow for achievement of a healthy effect in an animal.
